Meshonda L. Williams, PrincipalGreetings Bears,

I do hope this summer letter finds you well. I hope you have taken the time to power down some and relax. We continue to face a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our communities, and our way of life. My heart goes out to anyone who has been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. The journey we will take this year will have some sharp curves, hills, straight and narrow paths. Being Baldwin Bears, we will not turn around, but will strive to reach our destiny!

We, the staff at Ed. V Baldwin Elementary School, commit ourselves to providing a safe and nurturing environment, utilizing teaching practices reflective and responsive to our students’ needs, and creating an environment that welcomes, educates, and nurtures collaboration among stakeholders. Our efforts will provide a great opportunity for our students to excel!

I know we will accomplish our goals because where “Knowledge grows, the BEST grow here”. As your principal during this pandemic, an overwhelming and difficult time, I am confident that we will blaze a trail filled with success as you show up and stay true to the mission and values we stand for at Ed. V Baldwin.

Once again, welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! Together, let’s make this a great year filled with learning, laughter and memorable experiences!

Sincerely,
Meshonda L Williams
Principal

CDC Face Masks Infographic with caption of My mask protects you, your mask protects me with two people in colorful bubbles on a blue backgroundConsistent with our focus on health and safety and based on guidance provided by the Cumberland County Health Department, masks are required for all school staff and adult visitors, and all middle and high school students. Face coverings must be worn by students and staff inside school buildings, and anywhere on school grounds, including outside. Cloth face coverings remain strongly encouraged for elementary school students, if appropriate for that child.
